What Can Be Recycled?

The Recycling Center on Bayard Road now takes plastic containers No's 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7. All recycling is now commingled or "Single Stream," which means that all recycling, with the exception of shredded paper, can be collected in a single collection box. Aluminum, Metal Food Containers, Glass, Plastic Bottles, and Paper Products can be recycled at the Kennett Township Recycling Center. View the Southeastern Chester County Refuse Authority website for single stream recycling items.

Please note most plastic cups and caps off of water bottles and Styrofoam can not be recycled.
