Dear Kennett Township Residents and Business Owners,
 
From the Board of Supervisors, myself, and the rest of the Township staff, we hope you are staying safe and healthy during these unique times. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many things about our daily lives, which includes Township operations. All of us here in Kennett Township miss interacting with you at our twice monthly Board meetings. Considering the limitations of holding public meetings the Board decided to creatively bring information to you allowing us to continue being transparent with our operations.
 
On April 1, 2020 the Board of Supervisors and Department Heads met in a recorded zoom session to provide updates to the community about Township operations. The session was advertised in advance but unfortunately, not able to be live streamed for public comment. The goal of the session was to allow for updates about Township operations during the COVID-19 pandemic so the public can be informed.
 
Under the requirements of the Second Class Township Code, the Township must hold one public meeting per month and allow for public comment. This session does not fulfill that requirement but instead is designed to provide information to the Board of Supervisors and public. The Board did not take any action nor did it deliberate on any agency business. It simply received information from the Department Heads and provided information to the public. We hope you will find the session informative and enjoyable. Please know that your Township continues to operate professionally, maintaining its focus on the efficient and effective delivery of government services. On April 15^th at 7:00p.m. the Board will hold a more traditional style meeting which will allow for public comment and action to be taken by the Board. More information about that meeting will come in the coming days.
