Dear Kennett Township Residents and Business Owners,
I write to you in order to bring you a critical update in our fight against COVID-19. Please share this message with your family, friends, and neighbors (virtually of course) especially to those who do not have access to the internet or are not subscribers to this email list.
Over the last couple of days, talks nationwide have escalated regarding the wearing of face masks. We here at Kennett Township continue to look to the Center for Disease Control, Governor Wolf, and our state and county Health Departments for their expertise on these topics. Today, Governor Wolf issued a press release stating his recommendation for all Pennsylvanians to wear masks when they are outside of their home.
In this most recent release, he stresses that
staying home is the most effective way to prevent the spread of COVID-19. On behalf of the Board of Supervisors, I too want to stress this importance. If you do not need to leave your home, please stay home. If you do need to travel for those necessary trips for groceries or medication, please wear a mask for your protection.
It is important to note that the masks the Governor is talking about are not the same ones required by those in the medical field or the front lines of this battle. There is more information available about masks that you can wear and make from home
HERE.
Governor Wolf’s complete press release can be found
HERE and on our Kennett Township’s COVID-19 page

Thank you to each and every one of you for your continued work to help flatten the curve and defeat COVID-19. These times are not easy and I continue to be impressed by the strength of our community as we come together in this time of need. Please continue practice social distancing, resist non-essential travel, and now, sport a mask all for the health of yourself, family, friends, and community.
Thank you and stay safe.
