Yard Waste Lot Update

Dear Kennett Township Residents & Business Owners,

We have gotten a lot of feedback regarding the temporary closure of the Yard Waste Lot located at 557 Bayard Road on May 14^th. We appreciate all of your feedback! We reported via social media last week, but wanted to let you all know that this lot is now open and will remain open until further notice.

As I'm sure you can imagine, the storms in our area a few weeks back put the lot over capacity. This problem was exacerbated by the delay in availability of the company that grinds and removes the pile due to their own high demands and COVID-related permit issues.

Last week, they were able to reduce the pile, but there is still grinding that needs to be done. When they are there, we will temporarily close the lot during grinding for safety - but will reopen by 4:00 p.m. to help curb your inconvenience as much as possible. We will do our best to keep you updated in advance as much as it is possible.
