Norway Rd to Close This Week

We will be paving Norway Road beginning this Wednesday, September 16^th. We expect this to be completed by end-of-day Thursday, September 18^th, weather depending. There will be detour signs posted. We are also in the process of scheduling Chandler Mill Road between South Street and W. Hillendale Road for repaving - we will keep you posted.

Chandler Mill Rd Closed 10/3 in AM

For the morning of Saturday, October 3^rd, Chandler Mill Road will be closed from W. Hillendale Road down to the Chandler Mill Bridge to accommodate an event called "Get Re-Kennected" to the Kennett Greenway. You will see more information about this event soon, but we wanted to put this on your radar. Save the date now and plan on joining us for an interactive, COVID-19-friendly hike/bike/walk/run that wills start at Pennock Park and make its way down to the Chandler Mill Bridge!

Board of Supervisors Meeting

The next public meeting for the Board of Supervisors will be this coming Wednesday, September 16th at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. We encourage you to "attend" as we are beginning our 2021 Budget Process. Instructions for how to join along with the agenda can be found HERE. Also, if you have not checked out one of our agendas from the Agenda Center lately, they now feature hyperlinks that direct you to any corresponding public documents for you to review to increase transparency at Kennett Township.

Voting Information

There has been an increase in calls to the Township with voter-related questions. Here are some important dates:

October 19, 2020 - Last day to register to vote before the election
October 27th - Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot
November 3rd - Polls are open from 7 AM to 8 PM. This is also the last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8 PM).

For all other voting related questions, we will direct you to www.chesco.org/156/Voter-Services and/or www.votespa.com. There is a chance polling locations will be modified again due to COVID-19. We will keep you informed as this information becomes available.

A Survey from our Neighbors

In 2018 New Garden Township acquired a 137-acre property on Limestone Road, the side of the former St. Anthony's in the Hills parish day camp. New Garden Township obtained the unique property with the intent of developing a new municipal park.
