Recording from 12/02/20 BOS Meeting is up!

Recording from 12/2 Uploaded!

There was a delay in posting the recording from the December 2nd Board of Supervisors Meeting, of which contained a lengthy discussion about EMS service delivery in Kennett Township. In this lovely era of Zoom public meetings, there is a phenomenon called “Zoom bombing,” in which individuals unrelated to a meeting attempt to cause disruptions. This happened on 12/2 over a dozen times. We edited most of them – but with the meeting lasting over 4 hours, it was a time-consuming ordeal. None of the content was edited in any way other than to remove these distractions. Thank you for your patience and if you’ve been waiting, here’s the link: https://jmp.sh/RzfAw8d. (Due to the size of the video, you'll have to download it to watch it.)

There was an additional technical difficulty in which the recording for the last 18 minutes or so paused. What was not recorded was the motion to approve the bill voucher, a motion to allow the Township to upgrade their phone systems, and the motion to adjourn. All three motions passed unanimously after some discussion. We very much appreciate your understanding as we navigate this new reality of virtual public meetings!

Ashford Sewer Repairs

Ashford Septic System Repairs: On Monday, December 14th, contractors (Predoc) will begin replacing the septic system sand filters in the Ashford community as an emergency repair. This has been discussed in recent public meetings. Crews may be on location before Monday doing prep work . The project, which will take about one week and will not impact any service, is being paid for out of the sewer fund which is where sewer rent fees are paid to. We are sorry for the inconvenience but we will work as quickly as possible.
