Spring Clean up 3/27

Spring Clean Up

Saturday, March 27th

The Red Clay Valley Clean Up will continue its decades long tradition in 2021, though in a modified, COVID-19 safe format. This effort is even more critical than in years past due to recent flooding events, and that most routes have not been cleaned in almost two years.

  • Volunteers will be limited to a total of 250, and groups/family pods will be limited to 10 people who will be asked to follow safety protocols.
  • The event will be contact-free, and volunteers will be notified via phone/email with their clean up routes and assigned pick-up day/time for materials.
  • All materials (t-shirt, bags, gloves, and safety vests will be provided.)

Register Here : http://www.brandywineredclay.org/event/red-clay-valley-clean-up-3/ (Only one registration per group.) Questions? Email: info@brandywineredclay.org.

Historical Commission Annual Program - 4/29/21

Revealing Historic Home Secrets featuring Seth Hinshaw

Thursday, April 29th at 7pm via Zoom

What historic home secrets are hidden in a nail head, a doorknob, a hinge, a floorboard? Any of these could yield a world of information. Want to learn how? Join the Kennett Township Historic Commission Annual Program on Tuesday, April 29, 2021 at 7:00pm.

The program features noted architectural historian, Seth Hinshaw. Some of you may remember a few years ago, when Seth presented BARNS to a standing room only crowd. He is returning with a wonderful new virtual presentation explaining how he dates structures by finding architectural elements. Sometimes they are hidden in plain sight.
