Board of Supervisors Meeting

This Wednesday, 4/7 @ 7pm via Zoom

The Board of Supervisors will meet this Wednesday at 7:00 PM via Zoom for their regularly scheduled meeting (1st & 3rd Wednesdays). The agenda is available on the Agenda Center and contains the Zoom link to join. In addition to the regular items on this agenda, the Board will consider the next steps for the Kennett Greenway along Chandler Mill Road and the W South Street connector. There will also be a presentation from the Kennett Area Park Authority. Detailed instructions for how to participate in our Zoom meetings can be found HERE. Hope to see you there!

Street Light Bill Correction

Due date is April 30, 2021

Last week, we sent out the Street Light Bills with an incorrect due date. The Street Light bills are due on April 30, 2021, NOT April 5, 2021. What historic home secrets are hidden in a nail head, a doorknob, a hinge, a floorboard? Any of these could yield a world of information. Want to learn how? Then join the Kennett Township Historic Commission Annual Program on Tuesday, April 29, 2021 at 7:00 PM via Zoom. The program features noted architectural historian, Seth Hinshaw. Some of you may remember a few years ago, when Seth presented BARNS to a standing room only crowd. He is returning with a wonderful new virtual presentation explaining how he dates structures by finding architectural elements. Sometimes they are hidden in plain sight.
