Burrows Run Road Closed 8/10

Burrows Run Road will be closed between Williams Lane and Milkwood Drive tomorrow (Tuesday, August 10^th) from 7am until 3:30pm for installation of a new storm water pipe. Thanks for your patience while our Road Crew does what they do best!

KACS Food Drive

The Kennett Food Cupboard of KACS needs donations as summertime is a tough time to have food drives Since COVID-19 started we have had over 22,000 visits to the Food Cupboard. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!! Please feel free to drop off donations anytime Mon-Fri from 9am to 4pm at the Kennett Food Cupboard, located at 136 West Cedar Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.

Back to School Drive

This Saturday, August 14^th, Rep. Craig William's office will be hosting a Back To School Supply Drive from 9:00am – 12:00pm in the Concord Township Municipal Building parking lot. Donation items will benefit those served by Maternal and Child Health Consortium of Chester County. See below for a list of requested items. We will also be accepting donations of diapers (newborn to size 5), baby shampoo & lotion, wipes, onesies (newborn to 3 months), bibs, bottles and socks.

The follow items (new) are being requested:

Pencils
Crayons
Notebooks
Backpacks (gently used ones are also welcome)
Paper
Markers & other school supplies

Field Work on Chandler Mill Rd

We wanted to keep you updated as the next steps in the design process for the Chandler Mill Road Trail of the Kennett Greenway continue to unfold. On Thursday, August 12^th from about 1:00pm through the afternoon, representatives from McMahon & Associates, Geostructures, and Kennett Township will be onsite to perform field work.

Additionally, from Monday, August 16^th through Friday, August 27^th, a survey crew that will include McMahon & Associates, Lotus Environmental, and Biohabitats will be completing additional field work. Please be advised that they may survey locations as far as 300 feet from the project boundaries (from the road). Please don’t be alarmed. They are there to help identify wetlands and capture other critical data that will inform the permitting process moving forward.
