Southern CC Broadband Survey

Have you ever had a problem connecting to the internet? Are there places nearby where your cell phone calls always drop or where you never have a good signal? If so, we need your help! The Chester County Intermediate Unit is working with Magellan Advisors to create a map of all the spots in Southern Chester County where there are connectivity issues. Read more HERE. We can only fix the connectivity problems if we know about them. Annual Red Clay Clean Up

The Brandywine Red Clay Alliance is once again partnering with the Delaware Nature Society, Mt. Cuba, and the Kennett Area Park Authority for the Annual Red Clay Valley Clean Up this Saturday, March 26^th from 8:00am - Noon. They've already met their volunteer capacity! If you are one of those volunteers, THANK YOU for keeping our community beautiful!

Barkingfield Park Seeding

It's that time of year! On April 4^th we will be closing the big fenced dog park for annual reseeding. This process takes about a month for the grass to come in strong. We, like you, don't want your pups taking home mud as their souvenirs! When the big pen reopens, we'll close the small one for the same process. The rest of Barkingfield remains open for all to enjoy. Please remember to pick up after your dogs, even on the trails around the fenced in park.

Shredding & Drug Take-Back

Representative Williams will be hosting his bi-annual Shredding & Drug Take-Back event on Saturday, April 23^rd from 9:00am - Noon at Bethel Springs Elementary, 3280 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA. This will be a drive-thu, contactless event. They are requesting you stay in your vehicles and their staff and volunteers will gather the unwanted materials from them. The Delaware County District Attorney’s office will be present to accept any unwanted medicines, prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs. See the full flyer HERE.

Kennett Area Senior Center Golf

Kennett Area Senior Center will hold its 2^nd Annual “Partners on Course” golf outing on Monday, June 20^th at Hartefeld National in Avondale. This is a unique opportunity to experience an award-winning private course while you support a great cause! All proceeds from this outing will go towards the mission and programs of KASC, to promote healthy aging, independence, and the well-being of older adults in our area.
