July 9^th Bike Fest & Giveaway

Join Bike Kennett, Kennett Trails Alliance, and Trek Newark on Saturday, July 9^th at Pennock Park in Kennett Square for a family-friendly bike fest and giveaway from 9am-12 noon. During the event, the organizations will be accepting donations of adult or youth bikes in good condition and are hoping to give away about 50 free, refurbished bicycles to members of the community on a first-come, first served basis. Free helmets and tune-ups will also be provided to the community. The event will also feature a self-guided ride from Pennock Park, down the Parrish Trail to the Chandler Mill Bridge along the path of the proposed Chandler Mill Greenway. Music and free ice cream will be provided, while supplies last.
 
The organizers are especially in need of adult bicycle donations. Donations of bikes needing minor repairs are welcomed (i.e., flat tire, brake and shifting adjustments, etc.). Mechanics will be onsite for bike tune-ups.
 
Donations will be accepted day of starting at 8:30am or pick up can be arranged ahead of the event by  emailing bikekennett@gmail.com or cnorland@ksqroots.com.
