The Kennett Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday, June 27th at 7:30PM is now CANCELLED. We hope to see you in July.

Board of Supervisors Meeting

The Kennett Township Board of Supervisors will hold a hybrid meeting on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 7:00PM in the Public Meeting Room. The Zoom link can be found on the agenda which will be posted no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting.

Historical Commission Meeting

The Kennett Township Historical Commission will hold a meeting on Thursday, July 6th at 7:00PM in the Public Meeting Room. The agenda will be posted no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting.

Offices Closed - July 4th

The Kennett Township administration office will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th in observance of the holiday. We will reopen on Wednesday, July 5th at 8:00AM. Have a wonderful 4th!

KAPA 2023 Summer Concert Series

Third Thursdays on State Street

The next Third Thursday on State Street will be on July 20, 2023 from, 5:30PM to 9:00PM. Third Thursdays bring the community together and support restaurants and small businesses on State Street. State Street is closed from Broad to Center Streets from 5:00PM to 10:00PM every third Thursday from May to October. To ensure an outdoor table, please make a reservation. Mark your calendars for August's Third Thursday, which will be August 17, 2023! Check out the website for additional details.

DEP declares Drought Watch

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has issued a statewide drought watch. While not required, residents and businesses are encouraged to voluntarily conserve water by reducing their nonessential water use. Tips and fact sheets on reducing water use can be found on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Drought and WaterSense website.

Opening Day- Monday, June 26th

The Kennett Library & Resource Center will be fully open to the public today! The Grand Opening Celebration will take place on August 27th. Looking for something to do this summer? Chester County Broadband Survey

Chester County Government has created a one-minute crucial survey that will identify locations in the county where internet service is either non-existent or extremely limited.

Responses to this survey will provide greater detail on where the broadband shortfalls are within areas of Chester County, giving a clearer picture of the true impact on residents and businesses.

Survey results will assist organizations, internet service providers and municipalities in drafting and submitting the most complete and accurate application for State and Federal broadband expansion dollars. TAKE THE SURVEY
