Kennett Township Board of Supervisors Meeting

Kennett Fire & EMS Regional Commission Special Meeting 

The Kennett Fire & EMS Regional Commission will hold a Special meeting to review the 2025 Budget on Thursday, August 22nd at 5:00PM in the Public Meeting Room at the Kennett Township Building.  Click Here to access the budget.

Township Offices: Summer Friday's By Appointment Only 

Kennett Township offices will be open by appointment only on Friday's through the end of the summer.  Our staff will still be available by phone (610-388-1300) and email on Fridays but in person business is by appointment only.  Please call the office at 610-388-1300 if you wish to schedule an appointment.  Our regular walk in hours of 8:00AM to 4:30PM will remain in effect Monday-Thursday.  
Yard Waste

Kennett Township Public Works Updates  

Paving work is complete and now we have a contractor painting the double yellow centerlines and white edge lines.  If you see the paint truck in front of you, please stay off the lines. 

The yard waste area at the Township’s Public Works garage remains closed for grinding and disposal of the existing pile.  There was equipment failure which is prolonging the closure.  Please be mindful of what you are disposing of at the site.  Last year we had this same problem with undesirable material being mixed in with what could be grinded and the contractor lost a week of grinding.  Thank you. 
Recycle

Recycling Reminder

The Recycling Drop Off Center is for residents of Kennett Township ONLY.  Proof of residency may be required.  The Recycling Drop Off Center on Bayard Road takes plastic containers No's 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7. All recycling is now commingled or "Single Stream," which means that all recycling, with the exception of shredded paper, can be collected in a single collection box. Aluminum, Metal Food Containers, Glass, Plastic Bottles, and Paper Products can be recycled at the Kennett Township Recycling Center.

Location: The Kennett Township Recycling Center is located at the Township Maintenance Garage, 557 Bayard Road, between Rosedale and Hillendale Roads.

Hours: The recycling and yard waste center is open dawn to dusk Monday through Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to dusk.

BE AWARE: Fraudulent EPA Notice of Violation Letters 

Please keep an eye out for fraudulent EPA Notice letters.  Businesses are receiving falsified Notice of Violations and it's possible that municipalities may begin to receive these as well.  For more information and to see a sample of a fraudulent letter, Click Here.
