Kennett Township Environmental Advisory Council Meeting

The Kennett Township Environmental Advisory Council will hold a hybrid meeting on Tuesday, August 27th at 7:00PM at the Kennett Township Public Meeting Room. Click Here to access the agenda. The Zoom link can be found on the agenda.

Township Offices: Summer Friday's By Appointment Only

Kennett Township offices will be open by appointment only on Friday's through the end of the summer. Our staff will still be available by phone (610-388-1300) and email on Fridays but in person business is by appointment only. Please call the office at 610-388-1300 if you wish to schedule an appointment. Our regular walk in hours of 8:00AM to 4:30PM will remain in effect Monday-Thursday.

The Kennett Township Administrative offices will be closed on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day. The offices will reopen on Tuesday, September 2nd at 8:00AM. Have a safe holiday!

Kennett Township Public Works Updates

After processing a very large pile, in conjunction with a few equipment breakdowns, the contractor has completed mulching the Yard Waste Dropoff Area.

The contractor is now in the process of hauling the mulch away. Due to the large trucks and heavy loaders, the yard waste drop off area must remain closed for safety reasons until the mulch is hauled away.

We expect the mulch to be gone and the yard waste area to reopen on Friday, August 30^th. If it can open sooner we will post an update on the website as well share on our social media.

As a reminder, the Yard Waste Dropoff area is for use by Kennett Township residents only.

In the very near future, the Township will be taking steps to penalize illegal/improper use of the Township’s Yard Waste Dropoff area. Additionally, please be reminded that only woody debris should be dropped off, not grass clippings. (this is not a composting site)

BE AWARE: Fraudulent EPA Notice of Violation Letters

Please keep an eye out for fraudulent EPA Notice letters. Businesses are receiving falsified Notice of Violations and it's possible that municipalities may begin to receive these as well. For more information and to see a sample of a fraudulent letter, Click Here.

Community Health Needs Assessment Survey

The Chester County Health Department encourages residents to take the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) survey. Hospitals throughout southeastern Pennsylvania conduct the CHNA survey every three years to determine the needs of the communities they serve. Survey participants will be entered to win a $25 gift card. Survey ends on August 31st. Click Here to access the survey.
