The Kennett Township Environmental Advisory Council is working to identify priority climate actions in the community. Please help by completing this survey to help them better understand your concerns, priorities, and ideas for our community.   Two lucky winners will win a $50 gift card to a local business of their choice selected on 4/22. March 2025 Meetings
BOS Recap

Board of Supervisors Meeting Recap

At the March 5th meeting the Board handled a number of business items. Some highlights are that they approved Ordinance 309, approved the electricity contract for three years, and approved a letter of consent for an AACHAF grant for "The Pines" (aka the Fussel House). Kennett Fire & EMS Regional Commission Meeting Cancelled

The Kennett Fire & EMS Regional Commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 11th has been cancelled. The next KFERC meeting will be on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Kennett Township Planning Commission Meeting

The Kennett Township Planning Commission will hold a hybrid meeting on Tuesday, March 11th at 7:00pm in the Public Meeting Room. The Zoom link can be accessed on the agenda.
Recycling

Recycling Reminder

The Recycling Drop Off Center is for residents of Kennett Township ONLY.  Proof of residency may be required.  

Location: The Kennett Township Recycling Center is located at the Township Maintenance Garage, 557 Bayard Road, between Rosedale and Hillendale Roads.

Hours: The recycling and yard waste center is open dawn to dusk Monday through Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to dusk.

CCSWA

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Program:

Kennett Township residents can find information for 2025’s HHW events from the home page of CCSWA’s website www.chestercountyswa.org/.   The Chester County schedule, the regional schedule, a list of acceptable materials, the registration links (for first two events so far), and a PowerPoint are all there!  EVERYONE MUST REGISTER!

NEWS FROM THE COMMUNITY

State Representative Christina Sappey is hosting a 2025 PA Climate Info Session on Monday, April 14th from 6-7pm at the Kennett Township Building. All are welcome to attend this free event but RSVP is required. Please call State Rep. Sappey’s Office at 484-200-8264 or email RepSappey@pahouse.net to sign up.
