Trails & Sidewalks Committee The Trails and Sidewalks Committee (TSC) Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, July 2nd has been cancelled. All business will be deferred until the next regularly scheduled meeting on August 6th at 1pm. Thank you for your understanding.
Kennett Township Board of Supervisors The Board of Supervisors (BOS) will hold a hybrid meeting on Wednesday, July 2nd at 7:00pm in the Public Meeting Room. Join us for an important discussion on key initiatives affecting our community. Items on the agenda include: Considering adopting Resolution 2025-11: Right to Know Law Policy as well as considering adopting Resolution 2025-12:Amending Fee Schedule Resolution 2025-3. Supporting the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance DEP Growing Greener Grant application will also be considered. The Zoom link can be accessed on the agenda.
Historical Commission The Historical Commission (HC) Meeting, scheduled for Thursday July 3rd has been cancelled. All business will be deferred until the next regularly scheduled meeting on August 7th. Thank you for your understanding.

Experience the Magic of Steamin' Days at Auburn HeightsThis Sunday, July 6th come out to experience the magic of Steamin Days. Auburn Heights, believed to be the only place in the country where you can get a ride in all three early automotive technologies (gas, steam and electric)! Features of Steamin' Day include climbing into an antique automobile to experience travel at the turn of the century, boarding the Auburn Valley Railroad and enjoy scenic train rides around their picturesque estate and many more. BRANDYWINE SUMMER CONCERT SERIESDon't miss out on this FREE Summer Music Series. Held on Thursday evenings July through August. Its free music for the whole family, with a different food truck at each two-hour performance. Gates open at 6 pm and the concert begins at 7:00 pm. Bring your own chair, blanket and cooler! PINTS ON THE PRESERVECome out next Saturday, July 12th to enjoy Pints on the Preserve. ChesLen Preserve's popular pop-up beer garden happens on select Saturdays from May through November. Bring a friend and a chair and enjoy ChesLen’s take-your-breath-away views. The event runs from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Family edition is from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Register for the event HERE.

YOUTH WORKSHOPS AT LONGWOODLongwood Gardens offers Youth Workshops the second Saturday of each month. Their Workshops help students (ages 10-16) explore the beauty of the natural word and hidden interests-while learning alongside expert instructors. The next session is next Saturday July12th. HOSTED BY PAWS FOR PEOPLE: PAWS FOR KIDS Do you have a reluctant or struggling reader? Come read to furry friends! This literacy support program hosted by PAWS for People is coming to Kennett Library. The PAWS for Reading program encourages children to read aloud to a therapy pet to improve reading and communication skills. The event is on Monday July 14th at the Kennett Library.
