Clifton Mill/Rt. 82 Bridge update!

The Township has received the following update from PennDOT:

PennDOT is finalizing the engineering plans for the rehabilitation of the Route 82 bridge. The general contractor, who will repair the bridge, is investigating lead times for the fabrication of the new, galvanized steel beams and steel grating for the deck. The timeline for the fabrication and delivery of the steel beams and steel grating will be the critical path, schedule-wise, on this project. At this time, the department anticipates bridge demolition activities to start this coming winter, but this timeframe will depend on the procurement schedule of the beams and decking. As we move closer to demolition, we will have a firmer schedule for this bridge rehabilitation project and will communicate that information to you.
