Dear Kennett Township residents and friends:
We just completed our search for a skilled and experienced professional who could step in and take over the day-to-day duties of township manager.
We are very pleased to announce that on Tuesday, May 28, we will welcome to our staff an interim township manager, Alison Rudolf.
Alison is an experienced township professional who served as Township Manager in Lower Moreland Township for 26 years from 1982 until 2008. For the past 11 years, she served as an interim manager in other municipalities.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Penn State University.
Alison is proven, experienced and respected. We are very pleased that Alison was available and willing to accept the position.
The search for a permanent Township Manager is underway and is expected to take several months. Lafayette College’s Meyner Center will be assisting us in the search.
The Supervisors have been handling most of the duties of the Township Manager since April 25, 2019, when the township’s bank identified suspicious transactions and informed Supervisors. Since then, two investigations have begun. On Friday, May 17, the previous Township Manager was dismissed.
We believe the hiring of Alison Rudolf – a professional with the highest integrity – is another clear signal we are determined to uphold the public trust.
