Spar Hill Clean Up Day- Thank You

Tree Clearing by PennDOT

A Friendly Reminder that The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced tree clearing operations will begin on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) from the Kennett Oxford Bypass to Greenwood Road in Kennett and East Marlborough townships.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
• Monday, April 24, through Friday, April 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Schoolhouse Road and Greenwood Road.

No Mow May

May is a critical time for hungry, newly emerged native bees. Floral resources may be hard to find, especially in urban and suburban landscapes. By allowing your grass to grow longer, and letting flowers bloom, your lawn can provide nectar and pollen to help your bee neighbors thrive.

If you would like to participate in No Mow May, please contact the Township at Kennett.Twp@kennett.pa.us to let us know you will be letting you lawn grow for the month of May. (You will need to resume your lawn mowing after May 31st)

Once registered, you can pick up your No Mow May yard sign from the Kennett Library. Just ask at the circulation desk. Register Here!

Keeping up with Hydra the Hydradig

Kennett Township rented a hydradig for one month to complete some work in the Township! 
Hydra has recently been out and about in Kennett Township improving sight distance at the corner of Hannum and Rosedale, Hillendale and Raven and finally Woodward at Norway!  Her time with us has almost come to a close, but we are grateful for all of her help.
