Five Points Traffic Signal

The new traffic signal pole has been installed at the Five Points Intersection

Due to repeated damage of the existing pole, a new traffic signal pole with a new concrete foundation had to be installed. The new pole is structurally stronger and is located further away from the pavement. The contractor was able to install the new pole without damage to the adjacent tree. Thank you to all for your patience while the new pole was installed.

The revised traffic signal pole location will be compatible with the future intersection improvement project which will include the installation of left turn lanes on several of the approaches. The Township continues to coordinate with PennDOT for the intersection improvements. The updated Five Points Intersection Analysis Report was presented to the Board of Supervisors on June 19, 2024

The report can be viewed here: https://kennett.pa.us/DocumentCenter/View/7713/Agenda-Item-7_b-Five-Points-Analysis-Report

Traffic will be maintained through the work zone with alternating one-way traffic.  Motorists are advised to allow extra time while work is being performed.  Alternatively, motorists could avoid the work zone altogether via alternate routes.

The work is anticipated to last three weeks.
