Municipal Feasibility Study

September 4, 2024: Director of Public Works recommends appointment of GKO Architects to perform Feasibility Study. The Kennett Township Board of Supervisors authorized the contract with GKO Architects to perform a feasibility study for the expansion of the municipal facility. This study was authorized due to the current space constraints for Township Administration and Police Department.

This started an in depth process of evaluating the space and functional needs of the Administration and Police Department. The needs analysis included an assessment of current conditions, inventory of existing spaces and usage, needs analysis for current and future staffing, and a review of functional relationships between Departments. The study team looked at options such as a major addition to the existing building, off-site options for expansion, and on-site accommodation for a new building.
